Pre-requisites:  Algebra I or concurrent enrollment
Textbook: Introductory Chemistry – Steve S. Zumdahl

This is a one year laboratory course for college bound students.  Building on introduction to matter, this course continues the discussion of matter with an emphasis on atomic and molecular structure, mathematical problem solving formulas and equations, the periodic table, chemical bonding, nomenclature, gas laws, stoichiometry, chemical equilibrium, radioactivity and oxidation – reduction.  Students work regularly in the laboratory setting.
